Roadside sponsors a cracking hot day of golf for industry partners

The Roadside team sure knows how to take the heat and cool everyone off with the sponsorship of the recent Australia Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) Women’s Golf Day at the North Adelaide par 3 golf course.

Some 100 keen golfers took to the golf course on a 40 degree day in Adelaide.

This is the second year Roadside has proudly sponsored this event.

The Roadside sponsorship included some great prizes to be won on the day and delicious on-course cooking by Roadside’s Civil Works guardrail team leader Steve Logan and some of his team who served up barbecued chorizo and halloumi complemented with European style condiments.

Among the prizes Roadside provided for participans to win included:

- sponsoring the three-member ladies team comprising our customers and special guests Emma of Prime Traffic, Tam-An and Anika of DM Roads;

- first prize of 4 x $50 Endota Spa vouchers;

- #4 hole sponsorship for closest to the pin prize of a four-person pass including golf buggy to the South Lakes Golf Club at Goolwa.

Roadside’s association with AGIG began with our supply of Energy Absorbing Bollards (EAB60) installations around sensitive APA group assets around the Adelaide metropolitan region.

About the Roadside Energy Absorbing Bollards (EABs)

The EAB60 is a TL-0 rated non re-directive crash attenuator designed to absorb energy and capture an errant motor vehicle upon impact.

This design preserves the life of a person from the impact and protects the infrastructure asset.

The South Australia Department of Transport mandates the installation of this Energy Absorbing Bollard in “at risk” areas to ensure a 5 metre clear zone of important assets, infrastructure and public utilities.

Roadside is a proud supplier of this important people and asset management safety equipment.
