Delegates at the upcoming AITPM National Traffic and Transport Conference 2019 will have the chance to see the national debut of a new retractable bollard from Roadside Services and Solutions.

The Roadside Gas Lift Retractable Bollard has been designed for car parks and malls and is part of Roadside’s popular range of retractable bollard products. Roadside’s new gas-lift bollard will be on display at its display booth at the AITPM national conference at Adelaide Convention Centre from July 30 to August 2.

The Gas Lift Retractable Bollard will also be on show at next month’s annual Local Government Association of South Australia conference being held at Renmark Chaffey Theatre on August 14-16.

Roadside Services and Solutions managing director Craig Woods says Roadside is pleased to be showcasing its full range of bollard products at AITPM. Craig Woods says the team is happy to answer all questions from traffic and transport professionals keen to understand how this new bollard can benefit them.

“The team at Roadside is proud to be rolling out another innovative bollard to Australian traffic and transport specialists, local governments and works departments,” Craig Woods says.

“People interested in checking out Roadside’s bollards and other products are welcome to stop past our stand and see the technologies in action.

“Bollards are a vital tool for local government traffic management, but they don’t always need to be fully automated."

Three retractable gas-lift bollards

Roadside’s gas-lift bollard forms part of the company’s bollard range, with its crowd favourite, the Roadside Fully Automated Retractable Bollard, also to be on show.

Roadside South Australia and Northern Territory director Craig Woods says the team is looking forward to demonstrating its products at AITPM, where all the company’s bollards will be displayed.

“We will have our best-selling fully automated bollard at the stand along with the new gas lift option, so people can see them both in action,” Craig Woods says. “We will have a strong showing of our engineering and automation products on display and welcome enquiries about our products.”

Craig Woods will be manning Roadside’s booth at traffic-transport conference AITPM, along with security engineer Jim Labilles and South Australia sales executive Kim Poole.

Craig Woods and Jim Labilles will also be in attendance at a series of networking events during the conference, including the opening ceremony and the final networking function at Adelaide Oval. Craig Woods says the new bollard is a great addition to the company’s product range.

“Roadside’s Gas Lift Retractable Bollard is a good, complementary product to the fully automated bollard councils have already rolled out across South Australia,” Craig Woods says. “The gas lift bollard can be used in less trafficked areas, like walking malls or at the start to private roads, near loading docks or private car parks — any area you access with authorised vehicles.

“Roadside’s team is happy to answer any questions people have regarding technical capabilities and putting together a business case for the lower cost option. With new funds coming into budgets this financial year, now is a great time to be placing orders for our traffic management solutions that take the effort out of local roads management and create a safer environment.”
