Attendees at the South Australian local-government roads and works department conference will get an inside look at two new retractable bollards from Roadside Services and Solutions.

The Roadside Gas Lift Retractable Bollard allows authorised vehicle access to areas and is making its Local Government Association of South Australia conference debut at the annual event being held in Renmark from August 14-16. The event is hosted by Renmark Paringa Council.

Roadside launched the product nationally in South Australia recently, at the AITPM National Traffic and Transport Conference 2019. Also being showcased is a low-cost, hydraulic controlled, stainless steel, fully-automated retractable bollard. It is designed to meet the needs of private or small business who would like an access-optional barrier system to protect its assets.

Features of this bollard include:

  • 304 grade stainless steel
  • Powder coated for aesthetics and presentation
  • Self-contained hydraulic system
  • Digital PLC control system that can be fully customised
  • Maintenance-friendly
  • Can be controlled remotely

Delegates and visitors to the upcoming LGA Roads and Works Conference 2019 can take a look at the new Roadside bollards at the Roadside marquee at Renmark’s Chaffey Theatre from August 14 to August 16.

Managing director of Roadside - Craig Woods - says Roadside is pleased to be presenting its retractable bollard products at the prestigious annual event. Watkins says the team is ready to answer any and all questions from roads and works professionals that might be interested in how they can use the bollards in transport and traffic management systems.

“The team at Roadside is extremely proud to be presenting out another specialised bollard to South Australian transport specialists, local government departments, and related departments,” Craig Woods says. “Roads and works team members are invited to visit our stand and check out our new Gas Lift Retractable Bollard and see it in operation.

“Bollards are a vital tool for state and local government traffic management. However, these departments often don't need them to be fully automated."

Roadside’s gas-lift bollard is an integral new element in the company’s bollard range. Industry favourite, the Roadside Fully Automated Retractable Bollard, will also be on show for conference goers.

Roadside South Australia and Northern Territory director Craig Woods says the local team is looking forward to demonstrating the company’s product range at the annual show at Chaffey Theatre.

“We will have our popular fully automated bollard at the stand, alongside the new gas lift option. Attendees will be able to see them both in action,” Craig Woods says. “The gas-lift bollard is a great product to compliment the fully automated bollards across South Australia, rolled out by councils over the last few years.

“Roadside’s gas lift bollard are useful in lower-traffic areas. These include walking malls, private roads, near loading docks, or in front of private car parks — anywhere you access with authorised vehicles.

“Our team is happy to field any questions people have on how it can work in a wider traffic and transport planning framework putting together a business case for the lower cost option.

“With new budgets this financial year, now is the time to place orders for our traffic management solutions.”

Roadside will be running a business card raffle at the LGA conference, with one lucky winner able to pick up a prized bottle of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial champagne.

To check out Roadside’s bollards, stop past its exhibit near the televisions at the breakfast barbecue and meal breaks area at Renmark’s Chaffey Theatre.
