About the M80 Ring Road upgrade project

The M80 Ring Road upgrade is a major, long-term project undertaken by VicRoads. We were contracted by Fulton Hogan to provide a range of products and services as part of the road widening between Sunshine Ave and the Calder Freeway.

Our solutions

We were engaged to supply and install all the temporary roadworks signs to ensure the safety of motorists during the road widening. At the completion of the roadworks, we manufactured and installed the new, permanent road signage.

We also supplied and installed W-beam guardrails along this section of the M80, as well as median gates at specified locations to allow authorised vehicles to make U-turns.

How we approached the project

All our road and wayfinding signs are designed and manufactured to meet VicRoads compliance standards.

We installed a large number permanent road signs along sections of the M80. The installation was carried out in accordance with VicRoads requirements and in conjunction with the other ongoing works at the site.

Our temporary informational signage is clear and compliant with VicRoads requirements. We manufacture our temporary roadworks signs using the same high-quality ORAFOL materials used for our permanent road signs.

During the M80 upgrade project, our signage was essential in ensuring ongoing safety for road users and workers.

We supply and install a range of guardrails and end terminal treatments to suit all roads and locations. We are also a VicRoads prequalified installer.

The M80 upgrade project required large amounts of guardrails to be installed along sections of the road. The installation required efficiency and accuracy while coordinating with other contractors to ensure project deadlines were met.

The final result

The M80 Ring Road upgrade project is one of Victoria’s largest infrastructure project. We are proud to have contributed to improving the transport infrastructure of Melbourne.
