Frequently asked questions

If this is for the creation of a new parking zone and you have your plans from a consultant, we can provide the linemarking, signage and bollards.

If it is for an existing parking zone that needs amending or refreshing, we can supply signs and bollards and repaint the existing, faded lines.

A design consultant can redesign the car park to include safe walking areas, and we can then provide the linemarking. If required, we can also supply the signage to direct and assist people with the parking instructions.

Under federal disability legislation, disabled bay areas are required to have bollards that are 1,300 millimetres high, although it is not specified whether they should be inground or surface mounted.

If impacts are likely, a surface mounted bollard may not be the best option due to the cost of continually reinstating the asphalt. Inground bollards are more robust, last longer and can withstand more impacts before they need replacing. Learn more about our inground car park bollards.

Firstly, check your parking bay and other lines. They fade and disappear over time and may need to be refreshed.

Another consideration is to ensure there is clear and adequate signage for wayfinding, speed limits and other important information for drivers and pedestrians to safely use the facility. You might also need guardrails and bollards.

Finally, consider wheel stops as these can assist motorists when they’re parking their vehicles.
