RSS delivers staff car park redevelopment at Wandana Primary School

Roadside Services and Solutions (RSS) has successfully completed the staff carpark redevelopment at Wandana Primary School, Gillies Plains, in South Australia.

This project was managed by Ventia Australia under the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) program and delivered on behalf of the South Australia Department for Education

Scope of works undertaken by RSS

The redevelopment involved:

  • Removal and reconstruction of aged pavement areas
  • Fencing upgrades and gate installations
  • Improved pedestrian and vehicle access
  • Drainage enhancements
  • Boom gate installation and line marking
  • Landscape reinstatement

Roadside Services and Solutions CEO Craig Woods says: “These works were designed to improve surface integrity, drainage performance, site access, and user safety across the school’s outdoor environment.”

Timeline

Pre-construction activities started early January 2026, with practical completion achieved first week of March 2026 – delivered on time and on budget.

Challenges and achievements

A key challenge was the discovery of unknown underground services, requiring extensive non-invasive excavation and pot-holing. Despite this, the project was delivered safely with no near-miss or lost time incidents, ensuring client satisfaction and improved facilities for staff and students.
